ECO-CORNER
Hello again 3CLJC-ers.  Thanks to everyone who completed the survey on growing-your-own food, and apologies for any confusion caused by the links/instructions in the last Eco-Corner; editorial gremlins at work!   Although the sample size was small, it was striking that everyone who responded did indeed grow some food for themselves in their own outdoor space, which is extremely encouraging.  The results also show that there is plenty of scope for our community to improve its food sustainability 'footprint' by exploring options for produce-sharing programmes and/or community farm/growing schemes.  If you are interested in getting started down the grow-your-own garden path, or improving your current crops, we are fortunate in the 3CLJC community to boast a significant repository of gardening wisdom and lore, in the shape of experienced growers.  Eco-Corner asked some of them whether they would be willing to share their expertise, and they kindly agreed.  As a starting point, if you have any questions about growing, or would like to initiate a conversation on the topic, please email Baron.

Also, part of the Eco-Synagogue initiative is an online event coming up on Thursday 28th September – please see flyer attached.  The organisers, UK Jewish Communities, have asked us to encourage anyone from the community with an interest to register and join the event, so please join us at 7.00pm on Thursday 28 September.  Details to follow.
